October to New Year's 2026, with dates
Boston events and things to do, October to December 2026: Celtics, Bruins, Halloween in Salem, Harvard-Yale, Fenway Bowl. Apartments with free parking.
Harvard's Family Weekend runs October 22 to 25 and Northeastern's October 23 to 25. The Bruins are back at TD Garden on October 22 and the Celtics open at home on October 23, against the Knicks.
Salem's Haunted Happenings builds all month to Halloween, Saturday October 31, which this year ends with a 400-drone show at 10pm for the city's 400th anniversary. The same day, Navy plays Notre Dame at Gillette Stadium at noon. Franklin Park Zoo's Boston Lights lantern show runs evenings through November 8, and Boston's fall foliage is forecast to peak around the end of October.
Boston's Veterans Parade is Saturday November 7, and the B.A.A. Half Marathon starts and finishes in Franklin Park on Sunday November 8 - the same day the Patriots host the Packers. Boston College plays Florida State on November 7.
Harvard-Yale is at Fenway Park on Saturday November 21, kickoff 3:30pm, with Boston College hosting Syracuse the same day. At TD Garden: Journey on November 10 and Doja Cat on November 23. The Bruins play Toronto at 1pm on Black Friday, November 27, the Nutcracker opens at the Citizens Opera House the same day, and Copley Square lights its tree on November 30.
The Boston Common tree lighting is Thursday December 3, 6 to 8pm. The Patriots host the Bills on December 6 and the Vikings on Thursday December 10, the night Andrea Bocelli plays TD Garden; the Kiss 108 Jingle Ball is December 13.
The Celtics play Miami on Christmas Day, and the Fenway Bowl college football game is Saturday December 26 at 2pm at Fenway Park. The Harlem Globetrotters are at TD Garden on December 27, the Bruins host Edmonton on December 30, and the Nutcracker runs through December 31. Boston's First Night program for New Year's Eve had not been announced as of October 11.
At the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center: the Veeva R&D Summit (October 18-20), AdvaMed's MedTech Conference (October 19-21), the Society of Women Engineers (November 5-7), Rockwell Automation Fair (November 16-19) and the Massachusetts Conference for Women (December 10). At the Hynes: the AAGL Global Congress (November 13-16), the Boston Career Forum (November 20-22) and the Materials Research Society Fall Meeting (November 30 - December 4).
