Late October · Blue Hills · Arnold Arboretum · Franklin Park
When Boston's fall foliage peaks in 2026, and whole apartments minutes from Blue Hills, Stony Brook, Arnold Arboretum and Franklin Park. Free parking.
The state's foliage report puts Massachusetts around mid-October, with western Massachusetts turning first. Boston.com's forecast (October 1) has Boston itself peaking by Halloween weekend, and WBUR's (September 22) puts the city and inner suburbs at mid-to-late October into early November. Blue Hills typically peaks from Columbus Day to mid-October, and Boston Common in the last week of October.
Our nine Hyde Park apartments on Ellis Street are about 5 minutes by car from Stony Brook Reservation and about 10 minutes from the Blue Hills Reservation, with its trails up Great Blue Hill. Come back to a full kitchen and free parking instead of a hotel garage.
From our Dorchester apartments the Arnold Arboretum is about a 15-minute drive (about 20 from Hyde Park). Franklin Park is closer still - a walk from Glenway and Erie Streets - and in late October it is one of the nearest places in the city to see the color.
Western Massachusetts and the hills further out turn first, so a car and a base south of the city make a day drive easy: every apartment has free off-street parking, a full kitchen, and room for up to 10 in one booking.
There is a big park nearby; our kids had a lovely time.— verified guest review
